Google Ads
Add the Google Ads tag to your public page to measure visits.
How it works
Your Google Ads ID (AW-XXXXXXXXX) configures the Google tag on your public page. If GA4 is also connected they share the tag; otherwise the Ads tag loads on its own.
The current integration sends the tag configuration for page visits. Saving an optional conversion label does not itself send a conversion event for a click, lead, or purchase. Set up and verify a separate conversion event before using it as a Smart Bidding goal.
How it flows
Set it up
- 1
Find your Google tag
In Google Ads, open Tools → Data Manager and find your Google tag ID.
ads.google.com - 2
Copy the tag ID
Copy the Google tag ID (AW-…). A conversion label is optional here; saving one does not send a conversion event.
- 3
Paste and save
In Settings → Integrations → Google Ads, paste the ID and Save.

Tips to get the most out of it
- Use Google Ads tag diagnostics to check that your published page loads the tag.
- Choose a real conversion action and verify its event separately before using conversion-based bidding.
- Compare ad traffic with knit.bio’s own page and link analytics; the two systems can count visits differently.
