Kit (formerly ConvertKit)

Send new signups to a Kit form and its connected sequence.

How it works

Kit is the current name for ConvertKit. knit.bio still labels this integration ConvertKit in Settings and uses Kit’s legacy V3 API secret. Store that secret only in the integration form; it is validated and stored encrypted.

New signups are pushed to the form you specify through the V3 subscribe endpoint, with the subscriber’s name attached. A sequence connected to that form can then run in Kit.

Set it up

  1. 1

    Copy your V3 API secret

In Kit, open Developer settings and find the V3 API key section. Copy the API Secret; a V4 key is not interchangeable with this connection.

  2. 2

    Get the Form ID

Open the form; the numeric Form ID is in its settings/embed code.

  3. 3

    Connect

In Settings → Integrations → ConvertKit, connect with the secret, add the Form ID, and save.

Tips to get the most out of it

  • Trigger a nurture sequence off the connected form automatically.
  • Use tags and automations to route knit.bio leads into the right funnel.
  • A/B test your capture-block copy and watch which drives more subscribers.
